COVID-19

Firstly, and most importantly, we hope you are staying safe.

Halton, like many other regions of the U.K is currently in the very high risk Tier 3 covid category. It is essential that your place of work is kept clean and hygienic to reduce the spread of covid within your workplace. So, we wanted to update you on what we have been doing to remain in accordance to the latest U.K government and Public Health England guidelines for cleaning workplaces.

As you know the welfare, health and safety of all our clients and staff has always been our top priority and remains so now. Naturally, things have changed throughout the covid pandemic.

For our staff:

We are ensuring that every one of our customers have sufficient hand washing facilities that are accessible on the premises.

We are ensuring that wherever possible, our Cleaning Operatives can maintain a 2-metre distance from colleagues and individuals for the entirety of their shifts. On occasion and where possible we have changed our shift times to accommodate this.

We are ensuring that our Cleaning Operatives have sufficient PPE. As a minimum we now require our operatives to wear a face covering and disposable gloves for the duration of their shift. Our operatives have been given guidance on how to put on, wear and remove PPE.

We ask all customers to notify us of any instances where somebody has been on site with potential covid symptoms or confirmed covid so that we can pre-warn our operatives who will not enter the potentially infected area until it has been covid cleaned.

We are putting a poster outlining our procedures for cleaning during the pandemic at each of our customers premises for our staff to follow.

For our clients:

We have followed closely the latest advice from the government, a few key points to note are...

On arrival to premises our operatives will clean (or sanitise) and dry hands thoroughly then put on any PPE that is required for that specific business premises, as a minimum this will be a face covering and disposable gloves. The PPE will be removed at the end of every shift and disposed of (unless washable and re-usable).

Emphasis on antibacterial cleaning of touch-points.

We are only using cleaning products that meet the BS EN 1276 standard for killing bacteria.

We will use a damp cloth for cleaning as opposed to a dry one as surfaces need to remain damp long enough for the antibacterial properties of the cleaning products to work.

We realise that every work place is different so we speak to all customers to ensure that we have covid procedures in place that meet both our requirements and our customer’s requirements.

If you have a suspected or confirmed case of covid in your workplace then we can guide you on what procedures to take , and we can carry out a “covid clean” on the area, following government guidelines.

All procedures in place and updated as necessary for the foreseeable future.
