As our staff and our customers are mainly local people we believe that we have a responsibility to give something back to our local Halton community whenever we can.
HERE A FEW EXAMPLES OF THIS DURING THE LAST FEW YEARS:
In May 2023 we raised £491 for the National Autistic Society by carrying out a sponsored walk up Moel Famau.
In July 2021 our fantastic team abseiled down Liverpool Cathedral and walked from Spike Island in Widnes to Walton Gardens in Warrington to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Hospital. We raised a total of £2001.
We have supported Widnes based organisation Nightstop Communities NW ltd for a number of years. NCNW provide accomodation and counselling services for the vulnerable in our society. In June 2021 we raised £605 by doing a team cycling challenge. In 2019 we raised £225 by doing sponsored runs, and we have supported them with regular donations for a number of years.
In February 2021, to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we asked the public to nominate their favourite charity or organisation that benefits our local Halton community, and we pledged to donate £250 to whoever received the most nominations. The winner was Halton Riverside Boxing Club, who's coaches volunteer their time to train local children and adults.
We have made monthly contributions to our fantastic local hospice Halton Haven for a number of years and in 2019 we raised a further £225 by doing sponsored runs.
We have supported the Halton Christmas Toy Appeal each Christmas since 2019, donating over £500 and supporting the appeal in other ways too.
In 2020 we raised a total of £1110 by asking other local businesses to join us in donating to the appeal.
We have provided cleaning for Halton’s foodbanks on a non-profit basis for a number of years and have also done food collections with our employees.
When Widnes Vikings were in danger of going bankrupt, our employees stepped up to the plate and raised £1500 by doing sponsored walks, supermarket bucket collections and donating from their wages (we matched their donations). We are also Widnes Vikings’ official Cleaning partners and instead of being paid money for providing the cleaning service, we get matchday tickets for the hospitality lounge, which we then donate back to the community through our 1st try scorer competitions. We hope to resume this once covid allows.
We offer a generous discount for local charities, like The Studio, who are a fantastic local organisation, and have benefitted from discount cleaning from us since 2012.
We are proud to have won the award for Best Commercial Cleaning Company in Cheshire in both the 2021 and 2022 SME News Elite Business Awards. We also won the award for Most Client Focused Commercial Cleaning Company in Cheshire at the 2022 Northern Enterprise Awards.
In recent years we have entered the prestigious Halton Business Awards. This is an award ceremony held annually by Halton Borough Council and Halton Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the best businesses that Halton has to offer. Any local businesses can enter and it is always a fantastic event with some amazing businesses and organisations competing for the various award categories.
In both 2016 and 2017 we were Highly Commended in the Outstanding Customer Service category which we were absolutely delighted with, then in 2018 we managed to go one better and were outright winners of the same category, a feat that we also repeated at the 2019 Awards. The awards were cancelled in 2020 & 2021 due to Covid, and then in 2022 we were finalists in the Customer Commitment and Commitment to the Community Categories..
